Nokia and Microsoft Unify Telco Data with Fabric to Accelerate Agentic Network Automation

Nokia and Microsoft have announced an expanded collaboration integrating Nokia Data Suite with Microsoft Fabric to establish an agent-ready, unified data foundation for telecommunications networks. The architecture pairs Nokia's domain-specific semantic models and prebuilt data products with Microsoft Fabric’s OneLake storage, governance, and analytics ecosystem. Targeted initially at voice-over-new-radio (VoNR) service assurance, radio access network (RAN) geo-experience mapping, and predictive maintenance, the joint solution is engineered for multi-vendor, cross-domain deployments across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. The initiative addresses a long-standing operational barrier in network engineering: telemetry fragmentation. Modern communication service providers generate massive volumes of metrics, event logs, and topology states, yet preparing this data for operational tooling typically demands weeks of bespoke ETL engineering. By exposing query-ready data products with built-in quality controls directly into a centralized lakehouse, network and DevOps practitioners can deploy autonomous agents that execute automated root-cause analysis and closed-loop remediations in minutes instead of months, while maintaining policy governance and human-in-the-loop oversight.
