TCS Launches SovereignSecure Cloud in Europe for Enhanced Data Sovereignty
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has unveiled its SovereignSecure Cloud in Europe, a strategic expansion of its global cloud portfolio aimed at addressing the complex data sovereignty and compliance requirements faced by European governments, public sector entities, and highly regulated industries. This new offering is built on a multi-layered architecture, integrating a sovereign cloud layer delivered through existing hyperscalers to provide scalability and flexibility within the strict EU regulatory framework.
The SovereignSecure Cloud is designed to enable organizations to navigate a broad spectrum of EU regulations, including GDPR, DORA, NIS2 Directive, and the Cyber Resilience Act. It features a national sovereign cloud layer that supports country-specific localization, all managed under a unified control plane. Additionally, an enterprise cloud services layer utilizes the EU-specific TCS Enterprise Cloud Framework, which acts as a unified orchestration and control mechanism. This framework allows enterprises to dynamically apply appropriate levels of sovereignty to their data, operations, and technology based on workload sensitivity, risk profiles, and industry-specific mandates.
According to TCS, this initiative will empower European enterprises to strengthen their regulatory compliance posture, achieve greater digital autonomy, and bolster security measures. A key aspect highlighted is the collaboration between sovereign AI and sovereign cloud, which is expected to unlock further advantages by enabling enhanced operational efficiency and supporting local regulatory adherence, ultimately fostering the creation of advanced, culturally attuned digital services that protect sensitive information.
