Scality and OVHcloud Accelerate European Digital Sovereignty with New Cloud Storage Offering

Scality, a global leader in data infrastructure software for the AI era, has joined forces with OVHcloud, a prominent European cloud provider, to launch an innovative cloud storage platform. This collaboration aims to bolster European digital sovereignty by offering a storage solution that ensures complete data control and cyber resilience, independent of non-European hyperscale cloud providers. The new platform is engineered to support the most intensive AI workloads, addressing the critical need for high-performance and secure data management within the European Union. The joint offering leverages Scality RING and Scality ARTESCA, which provide massive, resilient, S3-compatible object storage. These technologies can be deployed directly on a customer's on-premises infrastructure, offering robust data management capabilities. OVHcloud complements this with its OPCP solutions, adding cloud-native orchestration, a managed services catalog, and automated deployment, all built on an infrastructure that is independent of foreign public cloud providers. This ensures that data remains within European control and adheres to regional regulations. Beyond on-premises deployments, the partnership also extends to a dedicated storage offering on OVHcloud Bare Metal infrastructure through the HGR-STOR range. This comprehensive approach ensures that organizations can align their storage strategies with digital sovereignty requirements while benefiting from advanced performance and protection features. The solution was highlighted at VivaTech, showcasing its capabilities in providing media-aware lifecycle management and AI-powered autonomous operations to reduce operational burdens. By aligning storage media, performance, protection, and economics to each workload, the platform offers a tailored and efficient solution for enterprise AI, cyber resilience, and sovereign control at multi-petabyte to exabyte scales.
