IBM Bolsters Cloud Storage Resilience With Granular Azure Telemetry and Multi-Geo Data Residency

IBM has issued its September 6, 2026 update for IBM Storage Protect for Cloud, delivering major enhancements across its multi-cloud backup and SaaS data protection suites. Key technical additions include proactive restore job monitoring for Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage accounts, and Entra ID, exposing live progress telemetry, including item-level status tracking, directly within the management console.
