NHN Cloud Unveils 'Factory X' to Boost Korea's AI Infrastructure and GPU Efficiency

NHN Cloud has introduced 'NHN Factory X,' a comprehensive platform aimed at integrating AI infrastructure, platforms, and services to support the AI transformation (AX) of corporations. The company views this as a crucial step in nurturing its AI business as a core growth engine for the future. According to Kim Dong-hoon, Chief Executive of NHN Cloud, the focus of the AI hegemony race is shifting from AI models to the underlying AI infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of efficiently producing and utilizing AI computation tokens as cheaply as possible, stating that the solidity and efficiency of AI infrastructure will determine the success or failure of AI initiatives. Factory X is built on a three-stage execution environment: securing GPUs, operating an efficient platform, and running AI agents. This structure is designed to help companies move their AI projects beyond the proof-of-concept stage into tangible business outcomes. NHN Cloud projects its AI business revenue to grow substantially, from 13% last year to 38% this year, and reaching 50% next year, aggressively targeting the AI infrastructure market, which is expected to grow by 20% annually to approximately $394.4 billion by 2030. A key differentiator for Factory X is NHN Cloud's robust infrastructure capabilities, including a 100% liquid-cooling GPU system and advanced GPU clustering technology. The company has commercialized Korea's largest single GPU clustering of 4,080 units and operates an exascale AI cluster with 7,656 ultra-high-performance B200s at its 'Factory X Seoul' data center, significantly reducing GPU failure rates compared to air cooling.
