GMI Cloud and Magna AI Partner to Expand Global Sovereign AI Infrastructure

GMI Cloud, a prominent provider of AI-native GPU cloud infrastructure, has officially partnered with Magna AI Inc. to establish a worldwide network of sovereign AI Factories (AIFs). This strategic alliance is designed to empower nations to build and control their own AI intelligence infrastructure, ensuring both security and long-term technological independence. The first phase of these projects will focus on deploying AIFs in Malaysia, Belgium, and Romania, with additional locations currently under development across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The partnership leverages GMI Cloud's expertise in designing and operating AI-native GPU cloud platforms, optimized for large-scale AI inference and sovereign deployments. Magna AI, a new sovereign AI company formed through a collaboration between Trend Micro™ and Wistron Digital Technology Holding Company (WDH), brings a full-stack AI platform that integrates infrastructure, applications, and services into a unified, scalable model. This comprehensive approach supports the next generation of inference-scale AI workloads and agentic AI systems, which are crucial for national AI platforms requiring secure and high-performance sovereign infrastructure. The initiative is particularly timely as governments increasingly view dedicated AI computing power as a fundamental pillar of national prosperity and security. The collaboration also includes NVIDIA, with initial projects architected around NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72™ technology. Trend Micro's extensive cybersecurity experience will be integral to securing these AI Factories from the ground up, protecting sensitive national data and mission-critical AI workloads. This partnership aims to accelerate nations' transition from AI strategy to execution by providing robust, secure, and resilient AI systems.
