Veeam Boosts AI Data Protection With Everpure Alliance

Veeam Software and Everpure have announced a significant expansion of their strategic alliance, unveiling a new initiative dubbed "DataAI Resilience." This collaboration aims to merge advanced data protection, robust cybersecurity measures, and artificial intelligence capabilities into a unified defense network designed to protect complex corporate infrastructures from the escalating threats of autonomous AI agent errors and sophisticated ransomware attacks. The partnership signifies a shift from conventional backup strategies to a more proactive and automated approach to data security. A cornerstone of this enhanced alliance is the planned integration of Portworx by Everpure and Kasten by Veeam, scheduled for release in Q3 2026. This integration is specifically engineered to address the critical need for comprehensive data protection within Kubernetes and other containerized environments. As enterprises increasingly adopt microservices architectures and deploy production workloads in containers, securing these dynamic environments has become a paramount business priority. The combined strengths of Portworx's persistent storage capabilities and Kasten's Kubernetes-native data management will provide a robust solution for cloud-native data resilience. The forthcoming integration promises several key benefits for organizations managing containerized applications. It will enable policy-driven protection for Kubernetes workloads, leveraging Portworx's storage to ensure data integrity and availability. Furthermore, it aims to deliver application-consistent operations for stateful containerized applications, a crucial feature for maintaining data accuracy during backup and recovery processes. Beyond Kubernetes, the alliance also introduces the new Veeam EDC Fleet Management Integration, planned as part of Veeam Data Platform v13.1. This integration extends resilience from single-system management to fleet-level visibility and control across Everpure's Enterprise Data Cloud.
