Wasabi Unveils Impact Circle to Empower Partners in Tracking Cloud Storage Emissions

Cloud storage provider Wasabi has launched the Wasabi Impact Circle, a significant step towards enhancing sustainability in cloud computing. This new program, developed in partnership with the sustainable finance marketplace Zero Circle, is specifically designed to empower Wasabi's partners and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to measure and mitigate the environmental impact of their clients' cloud storage. The Impact Circle allows partners to gain visibility into the carbon emissions generated by their customers' storage consumption. Through the Wasabi Account Control Manager, users can access tools that enable them to track these emissions. A core component of the initiative is the ability for partners to invest in high-integrity carbon credits, which are sourced, evaluated, and allocated by Zero Circle. These carbon credits are tied to various climate projects, offering a structured way for organizations to offset their environmental footprint. According to Drew Schlussel, Wasabi's Vice President of Product Marketing, the Impact Circle reinforces the company's commitment to providing sustainable cloud storage solutions and supporting partners' sustainability objectives.
