Microsoft has expanded its Multicloud Connector enabled by Azure Arc to provide native integration with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in preview alongside generally available Amazon Web Services (AWS) support. The service connects non-Azure public cloud environments directly to Azure Resource Manager through periodic, read-only API scans. Once linked, discovered resources—such as Amazon EC2 instances, Google Compute Engine virtual machines, and Amazon EKS clusters—are automatically projected into dedicated Azure resource groups, allowing platform administrators to query infrastructure metadata via Azure Resource Graph, apply unified tagging taxonomies, enforce Azure Policy, and orchestrate agent onboarding for centralized monitoring and security governance.
