Cohere Releases Powerful Command A+ AI Model as Open Source

Cohere, a prominent Canadian artificial intelligence company, has announced the release of its newest and most powerful large language model, Command A+, under an open-source license. This strategic move allows developers free access to the model's weights and implementation guides, enabling them to utilize and modify the technology as needed. Command A+ is built on a mixture-of-experts (MoE) architecture, which efficiently distributes processing tasks among various specialized sub-models. This design contributes to its reported performance improvements, making it twice as fast as previous Cohere models while also achieving lower latency and higher accuracy.
