The challenge stemmed from the architectural complexity of connecting a highly segmented and secure Azure cloud environment with traditional on-premises networks. Previously, provisioning an Azure environment was quick, but establishing secure network connectivity to physical labs or private networks, involving firewalls, virtual routing, and access controls, was a time-consuming, multi-team coordination effort.
