This contrasts with traditional approaches where security is often patched on after deployment. The platform enables engineering teams to design secure and compliant cloud architectures proactively. It then automates the generation of production-ready Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring that security is intrinsically built into the foundational infrastructure. A key feature of Dawnguard's offering is its continuous validation capability. Once systems are deployed, the platform constantly monitors and verifies that the operational environment remains aligned with the originally approved secure designs. This process is crucial for preventing "security drift," where configurations diverge from the intended secure state over time, creating potential vulnerabilities. By catching risks at the architectural drawing board, Dawnguard aims to prevent breaches rather than merely reacting to them.
