OCI Enterprise AI Expands to DoD Clouds and Upgrades NL2SQL Tooling
Oracle announced the September 2026 release of OCI Enterprise AI, delivering major enhancements across regional availability, model catalog diversity, and database tooling. The platform is now available within the US Gov West (Phoenix) region in Oracle US Government Cloud and the US DoD West (Phoenix) region in Oracle US Defense Cloud, introducing dedicated B300 hardware for hosting select foundational models. Additionally, Oracle expanded its Model Import catalog to include Moonshot AI's multimodal Kimi K3 alongside models from AI Singapore (SEA-LION v4), Mistral, Google, and DeepSeek. The update also enhances OCI NL2SQL capabilities with flexible model selection for semantic store enrichment, scheduled metadata refreshes, and asynchronous background query execution.
