Oracle Strengthens Defense Ecosystem to Help Emerging Technology Companies Scale Mission-Ready Capabilities
Oracle has significantly bolstered its Defense Ecosystem by welcoming a third cohort of ten innovative defense technology companies. This strategic expansion, announced at the Oracle Defence Tech Summit 2026, is designed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technological advancements and their rapid deployment in national security contexts for the US and its allies. The core objective is to provide a streamlined pathway for emerging companies to leverage Oracle’s robust distributed cloud and AI infrastructure, thereby accelerating the delivery of mission-critical AI, cybersecurity, secure communications, operational intelligence, and autonomous systems.
The ecosystem addresses the challenge faced by defense organizations in integrating new technologies quickly. Rand Waldron, senior vice president at Oracle, emphasized that the program offers these companies a faster route to build with Oracle, deploy on sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure, and reach customers operating in some of the world's most demanding environments. This approach is crucial for turning innovation into tangible mission impact without the traditional delays associated with defense procurement and integration.
New members of the cohort are set to benefit from expanded advantages, including dedicated enablement and innovation programs in collaboration with Shield Reply and Red Reply. These programs offer support for building, modernizing, securing, and operationalizing solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Roving Edge Infrastructure. This includes access to fast-start packages, cloud and edge readiness assessments, sandbox and proof-of-concept environments, architecture and migration services, and DevSecOps enablement. Furthermore, a partnership with Defence Holdings introduces an accelerator initiative, providing early-stage companies with priority access to explore deployment paths across Oracle’s comprehensive distributed cloud portfolio, encompassing public, sovereign, government, hybrid, and edge cloud environments.
The initiative underscores Oracle's commitment to national security by fostering an environment where innovative defense technologies can move from conceptualization to operational readiness with unprecedented speed and security.
