DXC Technology Unveils Private Cloud+ for Regulated Hybrid Workloads

DXC Technology has officially introduced its latest offering, DXC Private Cloud+, a robust hybrid private cloud platform tailored to meet the stringent demands of enterprises and government entities. The platform is engineered to handle sensitive and regulated workloads, providing a crucial solution for organizations re-evaluating their cloud strategies and seeking enhanced control over their data and systems. The launch comes at a time when many organizations are looking beyond purely public cloud services, desiring more granular control over data residency, security protocols, and operational management. DXC Private Cloud+ directly addresses these needs by focusing on security, compliance, and data sovereignty, making it ideal for industries with strict regulatory requirements, such as financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and the public sector. The new platform is built on Dell infrastructure and is seamlessly operated through DXC OASIS, the company's proprietary orchestration platform. It is hosted within DXC's own data centers, ensuring a managed environment that supports a wide array of functionalities including virtual machines, containers, data services, backup, resiliency, and dedicated private AI environments. This comprehensive support extends to both conventional business applications and the rapidly growing demands of artificial intelligence workloads. Chris Drumgoole, President of Global Infrastructure Services at DXC, highlighted the strategic intent behind Private Cloud+. He noted that the service is designed to eliminate the trade-off customers often face between achieving cloud economics and maintaining tight operational controls. "Customers across industries from manufacturing to transportation, insurance and more want hyperscale economics, flexibility, and AI-readiness in a true hybrid environment, one that works across what they already run and the public clouds they depend on. Until now, they've had to compromise. Private Cloud+, powered by Dell and operated by DXC OASIS, ends that trade-off and enables them to be ready as AI workloads increase," Drumgoole stated. DXC is offering the Private Cloud+ platform in three distinct editions, with the Core edition providing a multi-tenant private cloud on a consumption-based model. This approach allows organizations to benefit from the cost-efficiency and flexibility often associated with public cloud services, while retaining the enhanced security and control of a private environment. The product expands DXC's managed infrastructure portfolio, emphasizing sovereign environments, single-tenant options, and government-focused controls, catering to clients whose requirements are too strict for standard multi-tenant public cloud deployments. The DXC Private Cloud+ is now generally available.
