VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1.1 Embeds Argo CD to Centralize Enterprise GitOps
Broadcom has released VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1.1, introducing a native Argo CD-based GitOps service within the VCF Automation Provider Management portal as a Tech Preview. The release allows organization administrators and developers to provision and manage Argo CD instances directly into vSphere Namespaces and VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) clusters. The integration automates target infrastructure attachment and configures OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication using existing VCF Automation credentials, streamlining declarative continuous delivery across private cloud fleets.
This update is significant for platform engineers, infrastructure architects, and cloud operators managing large-scale hybrid or on-premises footprints.
