Datadog Unveils Over 100 New AI Tools for Enhanced Operations and Security

At its recent DASH event in New York, Datadog made a significant announcement, rolling out over 100 new AI-powered tools and features designed to revolutionize operations and security for modern enterprises. This extensive update focuses on autonomous monitoring, enhanced protection for AI agents, streamlined log management within customer cloud storage, custom agent creation, and centralized oversight of AI agent utilization. The primary goal of these additions is to help organizations navigate the increasing operational complexities brought about by the widespread adoption of AI tools across software development and infrastructure. A cornerstone of this launch is the substantial expansion of Bits AI, Datadog's existing suite of AI agents tailored for development, security, and operations. Previously focused on root-cause investigation, Bits AI now boasts capabilities that span the entire incident lifecycle: detecting, investigating, and automatically remediating issues across infrastructure and the software production cycle. This includes continuous scanning of infrastructure to proactively identify problems, recommend fixes, and even resolve them autonomously within predefined control parameters. Furthermore, Bits AI can track releases and pull requests from code changes through staging to production, ensuring software behaves as expected at every stage. Addressing the unique challenges of AI agent management, Datadog also introduced Agent Evals, a new feature specifically designed to debug AI agents and generate necessary fixes. For security concerns related to AI, the company unveiled AI Guard, a product aimed at detecting and blocking attacks embedded in prompts or multi-step agent behaviors, an area often overlooked by traditional security measures. Olivier Pomel, Co-Founder and CEO of Datadog, highlighted the market shift, stating that while AI introduces new operational challenges—such as code development outpacing human management and malicious actors leveraging AI for attacks—it primarily accelerates existing complexities.
